Digitalisation of the energy sector is now imperative, due to the challenges from the pandemic, where there is a real need to speed up digital transformation activities to reduce cost, increase efficiency and remain competitive.
This was highlighted during the virtual workshop for the Oil and Gas industry titled “Transforming the Digital Future of Energy”.
The event was organised by Dynamik Technologies Sdn Bhd supported by the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum Authority Brunei Darussalam. Present as guest of honour was Yang Mulia Awang Hai Azhar bin Haji Yahya, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Energy and Managing Director of Petroleum Authority Brunei Darussalam who delivered his keynote address at the event.
The workshop participants comprised of Chief Technology Officers, Head of IT and key officials from major local Oil and Gas companies namely Petroleum Authority, Brunei Shell Petroleum, Brunei Gas Carriers, Total, Brunei Fertilizer Industries and Brunei Methanol Company.
In her welcoming address by Haslina Taib, Chief Executive Officer of Dynamik Technologies, she underlined the importance of “the energy industry as the heart of Brunei’s economy, leveraging technology partners and solutions in order to thrive and lead the way into tomorrow’s digital economy.”
The workshop also featured multiple digitalisation case studies and success stories delivered for energy industry key players globally. The presentation was shared by Dynamik Technologies’ partner for low code platform, Outsystems, a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Low-Code Application Platforms 2021.
